Of course he knew the feel, He was hurt
when God turned him into a fallen angel.
even when he didn’t deserve it, but that is
what you get when you love God too much.

She winced as she took a step.

“Damn hunters. I’m doing the same damn work they do except on humans. What do I get for it? A piece of wood jammed in my chest like I’m on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.”

She almost wanted to say yes.

There was an ache inside her, and she missed having family. 

“Family is family,” she repeated. 

She looked at him. “You took my family from me…”
